The IRD provides aid to people affected by various global crises, striving to build a better world for all through the following interventions:

Supporting formal education initiatives to enhance primary-level learning, as well as non-formal education activities that develop talents and skills in youth, including vocational training, literacy programs, and life skills training.

Improving access to primary health care, providing training on sexual and reproductive health to adolescents and youth, and establishing community-based health insurance in low-income communities.

Humanitarian aid
Providing protection and emergency aid, including food, non-food items, cash assistance, and education during crises.

Assisting communities in preventing and resolving conflicts through activities that promote cohesion and peaceful coexistence.

where we serve
The IRD is an internationally oriented organization, currently focusing its efforts in Massachusetts, USA, and the North and South Kivu provinces of Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our long-term vision includes expanding into other Great Lakes region countries, such as Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
